Hi, I’m the human behind Black Cat Design & Media… usually found working from my self-converted van somewhere in the UK (or occasionally Europe), powered by sunshine, strong coffee, and a small but very opinionated team of animals.
I specialise in helping female-led and neurodiverse businesses create branding and websites that actually feel like them — not something pulled from a template or squeezed into a box that never quite fit.
How this all started
I didn’t begin in a glossy design studio.
At 23, I was building computers and removing viruses (the digital kind, not the dramatic kind). That led me into hand-coding websites, which then evolved into WordPress builds, and eventually into helping overwhelmed business owners manage their online presence without losing their sanity.
Over time, that grew into what I do now — combining branding, websites, social media, and promotional materials into something cohesive, intentional, and actually effective.
What I do (in plain English)
I design brands and websites that don’t just look good — they work.
That means:
No jargon. No overwhelm. No one-size-fits-all.
Why I do it differently
I’m AuDHD, which means I see patterns, gaps, and possibilities that others often miss.
It also means I understand—first-hand—what it feels like when traditional business advice just doesn’t fit. That’s why I love working with neurodiverse and female-led businesses. There’s a different kind of creativity, and I meet you there rather than trying to force you into someone else’s system.
A slightly unconventional setup
I live and work off-grid in my van with:
My setup runs on solar power, and even my hosting is powered by renewable energy — because building a business shouldn’t come at the expense of the world around us.
Who I work with
I work best with small businesses — especially women building something of their own — who want support that feels human, collaborative, and actually aligned with who they are.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to be ready to build something that feels right.
If you’re after something thoughtful, a bit different, and built with care (and probably a cat supervising somewhere in the background)… you’re in the right place.

Soft, serene, and silently critical.
Wilson has an eye for detail and an appreciation for the finer things in life (warm spots, soft blankets, and clean design). If something isn’t quite right, he doesn’t need to say it—you’ll just feel the disapproval.
